The Middle East was settled before China I believe, as humans originally migrated out of Africa, so I would say Iran, although it wasn't Iran then (it was Persia?).

I would say Iranian culture is older, by simple want of the fact that Humans were in that area of the world before they were in China (our species originated in East Africa). There is archeological evidence of sedentary cultures in the region as far back as 15,000 BCE. The same can be said of China, though. If we're talking about an organized civilization, though, the Jiroft civilization first popped up in what is now Iran around 3,000 BCE, while in China, the first major civilization is shrouded in heavy mythology (look up the "Three August Ones"), and popped up around 2,800 BCE. Iran by a hair.

Both would probably claim to be older. But I believe that Babylonia was in the Mesopotamia valley, so China is older. Babylonia dated to 1800 bc approximately. Iran (its predecessor Persia) came well after Babylonia. The traditional Yellow Emperor of China dated to about 2600 bc.

Iraq, because Mesopotamians and Babylonians created civilization there about 8000 years ago or more. Iraq is the oldest civilized country, which is older than Egypt, India, China, Greece, Italy, Iran, and Columbia or Peru.

China has been around since 5000 b.c. Iran has been around since 3200 b.c. so China is older, although I'm sure the names of both countries have changed, China's history has been around longer.

Iran has only existed since the 20th century. (1921 0r 1951, depending on who you ask)
China has existed for longer, but the People's Republic thereof was established in 1949.
Both exist on top of the ruins of ancient cultures. Iran, however, holds only a portion of ancient mesopotamia-the so-called "cradle of civilization" while China covers all of the pre-Xia and Xia area.

well it used to be persia: all of the middle east (most of it) combined
they all spoke persian (iranian language and iran still uses it) and it wasnt muslim. they only became muslim when the arabs came in. when the arabs came, 4 extra letters were added to the persian alphabet.
so in the case of persia becoming a islamic country which was 637. but from the beginning it was round BCE (prehistoric)
hope i helped

all depends on the definition of Iran.
the first Persian was formed in 550 BC or so.but some older Mesopotamian tribes such as Elam was in modern Iran.those tribes are older than China.
Chinese first proved dynasty is "Shang dynasty" during 1700 BC or so-1100 BC or so.
an older Chinese dynasty "Xia" is written on Chinese historical files as well as Shang dynasty. But Xia has not be fully proved by archaeologists.
