my car stopped,and all my panel lights came on.my battery was fumeing like eggs. i tried to put water in my battery right,but when i crank the car it does'nt start? anyone know why?

Sounds like a dead cell. Dielectric sulfuric acid has a rotten egg like smell, especially when one or more of the cells goes bad. Replace the battery and have your alternator tested by a certified mechanic.

Have to agree. Either the battery is faulty. You have run it without keeping it topped up which means it probably is faulty now!
The Alternator could be at fault here in two ways, 1) its overcharging and 2) it charging the battery with Ac and not Dc. In both of those cases the the Alternator will have to be replaced. Chances are though, is your battery has paid the price.
What to do.....
Buy a new battery or borrow one from some nice person, connect it up and take your car and have the Alternator tested, this is really quite simple, and if all is well you can give them a drink. If it is faulty, you can have it repaired or buy a replacement.
As for using distilled Water, that's not water boiled out of a kettle! When topping-up Go buy some Distilled water in future.

What kind of eggs? Rotten or fried? When my truck's battery smelled like burned chocolate, it was a bad connection. Something came loose inside. It had both side and top terminals. The top terminals still worked, but the side ones quit. Weird for it to smell like that. I figure some carbon was getting hot at the bad connection.

Your putting water in a modern battery? I haven't seen that in over 20 years. You have a bomb not a battery. Buy a new one before it explodes in your face.

Your battery is low on acid. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO JUMP START IT it may blow up! replace it at once. Your alternator may be over charging the battery You can have it checked for free at places like AUTO ZONE

Did you check to see if the battery had water in it? If it is low on water please put distilled water. It your car is an import or a Toyota they usually smell like rotten eggs from time to time.

yeah........your batt.. is shot.and probably leaking...batterys can explode...you shoul go spend 50 bucks and buy a new one.(maitenece free) dont waste your time with a junk battery...
