theres this boy in my gym class. he looks at me alot NOTE: im a boy. yesterday he sat next to me and scared the hell out of me cuz i didn't see him. then today he gave me hand shake cuz we did okay running the mile in gym. does he want to be my friend? and if he does how do i approach it cuz im not used to coming up to pple and askin do they want to be friends!? remember he stares alot alot of pple assume that means your gay but i think this is something else.

When the chance arises, engage him in conversation. That is how you make friends. You talk to people and determine if they are interesting and then you talk to them again and again. Sometimes this leads to social outings and visiting each others homes. Don't assume it is sexual....

Is he a new kid? he could just be looking for a friend and isnt sure how to get one. He might just be extremely shy and see's you as the person most approachable or that he wants to hang out with. He might not be gay he could just be watching you to see what you do and how you act so he can be like you (in a not creepy way) sorta like a role modle

Don't worry about the gay thing. That is for people with low self-esteem.
If you want to be his friend, just start talking with him. Ask if he wants to do something after school or whatever. Don't ask him, just show him you want to be friends.
And if he does "like" you, be mature, say no thank you, and don't make fun of him. Gay people aren't going to attack you.

Don't approach him at all, just let the friendship build on its on. This way you get to decide what his real intentions are. Even if he is gay, its OK to be his friend.
Be mature about it, don't let your classmates make you out to be some kind of gay hater.

he might want to be your friend, just ignore him awhile, if he wants to be your friend he'll try harder if he's gay he might lose interest.
