Trevor and Wesley. My husband are pretty set on one or the other. They are both strong, masculine names. Which do you prefer??

oh wow I love them both! Could you combine them? I think Wesley Trevor sounds perfect! Or Trever Wesley, both great!

I like both of these names. I have a favorite uncle named Trevor and I have never met such a strong gentleman. But you should know that these are Harry Potter names. If you have no other children you might not realize this and you should know that these names have an association that is striking and obvious to a whole generation of parents and children. Trevor is the name of the pet toad of one of Harry Potter's bumbling classmates. And Wesley is the last name of Harry Potter's best friend, Ron. I think Trevor is the better choice but you might want to read a book or two from the HP series before you commit to these.

I hope what you were saying was: " My husband and I are pretty set" rather than " my husband is pretty set". Since this is a child conceived by both of you, you should make a mutual decision. I'm sorry if I sound preachy but it is one of my pet peeves that I've seen happen quite a bit. It's a family name or I have to name him after... choose what you both like. .. That and the fact that the child has to spell it one day.
Between Trevor and Wesley....I'd have to go with Trevor. I've known three Wesley's and none were masculine - at all !

I think Trevor sounds a lot more masculine than Wesley. I think of Wesley from Buffy. Sorry.

I guess I would say Wesley...but that's my opinion because Wesley Snipes is wicked awesome and a guy named Trevor used to beat me up all the time)
