What you need to do is bulk. This is basically eating loads and loads of foods, preferably proteins. You can do this two ways, dirty and clean. I will explain them now for you:

Dirty
This is the diet where you pick out high calorie foods that can be high in fat and cholestorol. An example could be those big triple whopper burgers found in mcdonalds and places like that, they have protein, fat and have about 1,000 calories. This is the easiest way to bulk for some but remember it ain't the cleanest and healthiest.

Clean
This is the most healthiest way to bulk. You eat high protein foods like chicken, turkey, salmon, tuna etc. This can also be very costly as opposed to the the dirty bulking diet and takes time to prepare.

Bulking
In case you don't know, bulking is eating more foods and calories than you can burn off, you say you have a high metabolism, theres not much you can do about that now and it could be a problem but it will slow down over time. For bulking to work you need to lift heavy weights, a good example would be a 5x5 routine where you lift 5 reps in 5 sets. Try to do compound movements like bench press, deadlift, squat to gain most size. If you don't work out alot you will gain fat instead of muscle.

Cardio
Do cardio about once a week, no more. Cardio is important even on a bulk so don't ignore its importance.

A six pack comes from a low body fat percentage, if your bulking it could be hard to see it. If you are "skinny" then you should be able to see it now.

Supplements
They can be a good advantage to your bulk if you can afford them. They mostly are easy to prepare and can be eaten on the go. If your 18 then you can buy them from everyday supermarkets and chemists. I would stick to either whey protein and creatine as they are the most healthiest, stay away from anything anabolic. That is if you want to have a natural looking body that was hard to achieve. Whey protein is basically a protein that is found in milk tha has high protein concentration and low fat concentration. It is a favourite among young people who work out, whether on a bulk or cut. Milk has something like 80% of fatter protein and 20% whey protein I read something.

Your 18, don't expect to grow much more, you should be at close to your full height now. Although I have known people who have grew about 3" when they were 19, it all depends on your own development and everyones different.

So an overview for you, either bulk cleanly or dirty, but whatever make sure you are eating more than you can burn off. Especially with your high metabolism. Do compound movements like squats, deads, bench and you will gain more size than other ones. Do them with correct form, preferably in a 5x5 routine or another with low reps and high sets. If you have money buy some whey protein. You can neither bulk or cut quickly and you could be doing this for upto 6 months. Keep your motivation high with a training log, thats what I do. Hope I could help you.

if your going to the gym why not ask people there surley they would know, beware supplment people only push them becuase they make money out of it not becuase you need them they give nothing you can't get from food.
your an adult now so i don't think you really have a lot to worry about go to the gym 3 times a week mon/wed/fri because this will give you a full day to rest and the weekend off so don't hesitate to make friday the hardest day.
You will need to eat protein (meat) and as for a six pack that requires both muscle and low body fat so you will need to go running or cycling to burn off fat personally do these after you have done your weights because your main interest is muscle so you want to do the most reps possible whereas running doesn't really use muscle.

whey protein drinks work. I was 10 stone & skinny no matter what i tried. whey protein drinks have now kept me at a steady 12 &1/2 stone for the last 8 years.
I would recommend the chocolate one

You cant. It takes longer than that. you may desire to become exerted attempting to try this in the time of basically 2 weeks. regrettably, nutrition ordinary & well being are 2 matters in existence that require sooo a lot of our time.

but dont start chomping all of the wrong foods....cuz you are increasing the actual layer of bodyfat that prevents the ab muscles to be visible.
start working on the lower abs, floor Crunches ,side Crunches etc etc etc and dont forget to set yourself some goals.

Before muscles comes fat, gain weight (healthily) then starting working out. and those buckets of "Weight Gain" are just wallpaper paste and tissues, just eat lots of steak, bacon, pancakes, cakes... fun stuff, it isnt dieting so it is enjoyable! :P
