I have a blincking system alert icon (?) on my desktop toolbar saying system detected many of the spyware applications and they are slowing the performence of your pc; and when I click on it it opens spydawn web page. I don't know if it's related or not, NoAnd I also have this warning yellow triangle that comes from time to time saying my PC is all screwed up..bla..bla..bla... Torjan virus, Tarzan..spider man and all the lord of the rings are trying to hack your pc....this is theatening your system and it's slowing down bla bla The thing is I did a full run of my norton 2007 nothing suspecious. Nothing, nada, rien...Please help your brother :-)

You have Spyware. No your probably not infected with a destructive virus but make sure your virus definitions are up to date. You should also look into some type of Anti-Spyware like Microsofts Free Defender(http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx) although lately that seems to suck, so maybe adaware or Spybot. Look for those at downloads.com. As for removal of SpyDawn ---> http://www.xp-vista.com/spyware-removal/spydawn-removal-instructions
Try the auto removal tool.
