He was on a radio station and said that he's been getting death threats which I think is total BS. He's just looking for sympathy in my opinion. What do you think?

I have no doubt that Bonds is getting death threats. He would be without the 'roids. Roger Maris and Hank Aaron both recieved countless death threats as they reached their respective records. If people could hate these two enough to send death threats imagine what Bonds could be getting in the mail. There are plenty of nut cases out there.
As much as a hate Bonds, and wish that he wouldn't break the record...no one deserves to have their life threated. The dude's a total asshole and a cheater, but threatening his life is crazy. I've got no problem wishing that he'd break his leg rounding first, but to threaten him or his family is just too far. Baseball is a game, as much as we love it, it's a game.

i don't like bonds and never did, but no one deserves to be receiving death threats, and even as much of an attention-seeker as bonds is, i don't think he'd be a sick enough human being to fake getting death threats...and if he did, whatever little respect i had for him goes down the drain for sure, because that would just be one of the most awful things done by a sports figure in a while

I don't know whether to believe Bonds' claim or not. Aaron did get death threats as he threatened Ruth's record, but there was a lot of racial motivation in that case.
Does Bonds deserve death threats?? No. Nobody does.

Some phychos probably are crazy enough to give Barry Bonds death threats, but i can't see the big deal, its a sport for goddsakes, how is Bonds being juiced up affecting their lives.

Yes. Yes. I hope he isn't killed, but he is cheating to break the most revered record in baseball. I hope no pitcher throws him a strike all year. If I was pitching to him, I would throw right at his giant, balloon head.

He definitely is and no I dont think he deserves it. If he ever gets caught taking steroids while playing ball that would change my mind.
