The majority of people would throw it out as they see flyers as junk and an intrusion of their space.

However, for the ones who do read it, a percentage of them will keep you in mind..as your service is a 'need' not a want.

So, no matter how little, you will still generate new bussiness in a cost-efficient (although time consuming) manner.

I would recycle the flyer, and put 1-800-FREE-411 in my cell phone, that way I could any type of help that I needed any time, without having to pay the 411 service fees.

Neither. I don't do business with companies who invade my privacy with car flyers, door to door or via phone.

Companies that resort to such tactics have low ethics in my book.

Sorry, but I rarely even read them...they annoy me.

But another idea would be to work with several car dealerships....advertise your services through them...providing a business card with the plastic carrier they give to new car buyers. Used dealerships are probably more likely to agree...but if you offer your services as 'value add' to their customers, they may be willing to listen...

Although this information could be beneficial I would verify the information for safety reasons and then place the information where it will be easily accessible if the need for service would arise.
