I once opened a stocked refrigerator that had been without power for a year in August (over 90 degrees). I almost died from the stench.

A dead body. I manged apartments in Kentucky and had a tenant die in his lazy boy. He was in there for weeks before anyone noticed. It was very bad.

That's pretty gross, I agree. I used to do inspections. When I went into one apartment, I encountered a pretty gross one too- a woman had just died there the previous day!
