I want to set up a knock out first wedding anniversary for my husband and I. Our anniversary is April 22nd and he wants to go fishing/camping.... not exactly what I want to do. I am, however, looking for a cheap, romantic weekend alone with him, as we have his 11 year old son with us all the time. I'm just wondering if there are any ideas out there for an affordable weekend the we will both remember in the years to come. What are some unique ideas that are out there besides a candle light dinner and a bottle of wine??? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

An amusement park with rollercoasters.
A day at the beach.
A day of hiking with a picnic at the summit.
Dinner at a casino hotel, a couple rolls of quarters for the video game room for the kid, and hot tub sex in your hotel room.

My 1st anniversary is coming up too! Congrats!
Anyways, to be traditional, the 1st anniversary is supposedly a 'paper' gift. So what I am getting my hubby is tickets (which are paper) to the NHRA nationals this summer. Plus it is something we will both enjoy that I can surprise him with.
Just a fun weekend away for the both of you - I don't know where your from - just do some searches online or see what is going on that you may be interested in. Try something you haven't done before - go skydiving, rent jet skis for the weekend, skiing, go to a concert, or heck take a weekend getaway to Vegas!
