ok well inm in 7th grade and all the sudden my parents told me that i have to move and we dont know where but t will be far wont know anyone, and im going to a new school for 8th grade....
it really sux, i got really close to the people here now i have to move, when i go to my new school im doing to totally change my look(hair) and what do you do if you move and you dont know anyone there! what do you say to make friends people r gonna think im retarted.... just..... what do i do about everything!
people please help!!

Moving is hard but its definitely part of life and helps you grow up a bit too. Since you are moving, go ahead and change your look, your style, or your taste. Just make sure that you want to change your look because YOU want to, not to try and be "cool". Making new friends can seem scary but truthfully, it just happens naturally. Put yourself out there, try and be outgoing, and dont crowd away from people in a corner alone becuz thats what will make them think youre weird. Good luck and have fun!

Don't change your appearance. I moved my children at the same age and when others see a new kid in school they seem to approach you. It will be tough the first few days but you will click with someone in one of your classes. Try not to stress, just go in and keep to yourself for a while and see what happens.
and by the way this isn't a stupid question. Everyone feels like you when you have to move.

You will still be the same person in the new place that you were in the old place. You don't need to change when you move. Of course you won't know anyone, that's what makes it new. You will use the same skills to make new freinds as you did in the place you are now. Relax and enjoy!!

Relax. Junior high/middle school is both an exciting time and a nightmare for everyone. Why would anyone think you're retarded? Sure, change your hair if you want. You'll look terrific. You'll be friendly. You'll get good grades. Friends will come your way.

I had to move a LOT when I was a kid but I had brothers who were very outgoing so I'd just be buds with their buds or I'd wait for someone to approach me. Don't worry, people will eventually approach you and you'll have buds.

Just be yourself....all I can say...Of course I feel sorry for you....thats the worse thing for me...moving somewhere where you dont know anybody...good luck anyways
