im going to cyprus for 2 weeks and its not going to be overly hot, i was thinking to get acrylic nails but not sure if its a good idea??? any have any suggestions or had any acrylic nail disasters? thanks

I agree with Kel.
After having acrylics, you have to keep them up, if not, your nails just look horrible after they all fall off. They're gorgeous while you have them, but you have to think about the sunscreen thing.

I wouldnt call it a "disaster", but I got them once and since then, when they would fall off, it would peel off layers of my nails. Now, they grow in layers and its not always pretty. Just a thought!

The only caution I would give you would be that you cannot apply sunscreen with acrylic nails. The nail polishes gets goopy and then lint and stuff can get stuck to them, I recommend getting a nice manicure over acrylics. Acrylics damage the natural nail, require a lot of keep up and face it... they get dirty underneath and that is just not attractive, natural is much nicer over all!

Just make sure you take extra nail glue with you in case one falls off. If they are done correctly, you shouldn't have any problems.
