Engineering majors are typically conservative. Usually people with useful degrees are conservative.

You have it twisted a bit.

NeoCons only have degrees in business/finance/warfare/law.

Liberals and Conservatives have degrees in all fields.

Other than that, these fools who think our current admin is conservative are the ones who lack real education.

You're pretty wrong. My graduate degrees are in Economics and Political Science with a Masters in Sociology. I'm as conservative as they get pal.

You do have somewhat of a point in that most universities are run by liberal ideologists, so many college students are "educated" to be liberal. Still, many have enough practical sense to shed the brainwashing as they get older and wiser.

Not true, I know quite a few. I got an "actual education" and I'm not liberal. Keep in mind too, that I also know a few liberals who have an "actual education" that can't find jobs because they didn't bother to have a job or any work experience. Instead just racked up a major debt to start out their lives.

Many of the Conservatives I know hold degrees in many things.

I have a mother who is a nurse. My father has a PHD in history and theology. My oldest brother is a high level techie in the USAF. My sister is a teacher (with an MA). My cousin is a surgeon. I am an attorney. I have many friends who are conservative attorneys.

I do not know what to tell you about your post, other than many colleges are liberally biased today, so many students tend to be liberal.

Yep. A history and law degree.

But are you in some way saying that business or finance degrees do not constitute an "actual education"???

Most of the 100s of engineers where I work here are conservatives. A lot of them have graduate degrees.

I guess my bachelor's degree doesn't count as an education, huh?

Yes, My brother-in-law is a conservative and he has a masters in Education with a minor in history.

What do you consider an "actual education" and what are your education credentials?

....Business and finance are how the world works. Political Science and Sociology are how some people think the world ought to work and are taught primarily by people who haven't succeeded in the world the way it works now.

So I'm having a tough time with your definition of "actual education" - we deal in the real, you deal in the imaginary, and you think yours is the "actual education."
