I recently ordered a piece of software, wich totalled around 17 dollars after shipping, and for some reason UPS needs a signature problem is that noone is going to be home to sign for it. Is there a way to get the UPS guy to just leave it?

If the shipper marked it as signature required, then no, the UPS guy won't just leave it. You can either go online and change the address to a work address or somewhere you know someone is going to be or you can go to your main UPS warehouse/depot/office and pick it up there but you have to go online and change the status to pick up or it will just be out on the truck when you go to pick it up.

Drivers can be a pain but when you order something the sender has an option to tell them to leave the package. Also leave a note on the door and UPS does have a form for this!

Sure just like astral pen states leave a note on the receipt that UPS leaves. Only thing is then they are not responsible if someone walks off with the pkg after they deliver it.

Yes. Leave a note on your door that says: I authorize UPS to leave any package. Sign and date.

no but you can probably go and pick it up from their office. Or have it delivered to your work or a friends house. Call them and change the address.
