I think Lovie Smith is too stubborn not to let Rex start, however I would like to see them bring in someone else who can challenge Grossman for the starting job. He lost the Super Bowl for the Bears with all the interceptions and lack of passing game. I would enjoy seeing the Bears take Troy Smith with the 31st pick. Grossman's contract is up after next year and I think bringing in someone who can either make Rex play better for fear of losing his job or take his job out right will be amazing. The current QBs are not the answers.

As long as Lovie Smith is the coach and the Bears continue to win ball games, Rex Grossman will be the starter.

Absolutely. He brought them to the superbowl with a 13-3 record. You would have to be a complete idiot not to start him. I would be more worried about Lovie Smith. They are lowballing him and he may not stay with the Bears, because the money they are offering him is borderline insulting for a super bowl coach. I wouldn't be surprised to see them pick up another QB in the draft this year, but I think Grossman will be the starter for next year.

nicely the Bears are in a hard place they have great bowl protection and a Qb who in basic terms can not cope with the sport, so perchance Orton or Griese can do extra useful or attempt to deal for Trent green. Grossman did not lead them, it became a team attempt even with of Grossman.

Yes Rex will be the starter. If he wasn't benched this season then why would they bench him next year. The only way he won't be is if he get hurt again. He has to improve on his ball placement for next year. He makes the right reads just throws to the wrong spot that is why he struggled so much.

YES! The Bears really have no choice here. Jeff Garcia is not coming to Chicago. So it's got to be Grossman (unless you really want Griese).

Rex will start unless they get some big time player through free agency or trade

You all say it is a bad choice...he did go to the super bowl...and he had a 70% passer rating which wasn't too awfull. Oh and did i mention that he had a better passer rating that Payton Manning did in the post season..ha suckkkaa...

Hopefully not. Lovie will probalby stick with him but i hope they get a QB who can throw the ball and make completions and put interseptioin to a minum.
