I have a dachshund named Killer. Im 19 and have had him since i was 9. He is my baby and I love him so much. I live more so with my bf and just got off the phone with my sister. I have a concert to go to tonight (My Chemical Romance). She told me that my mom didnt want me to know and made me promise not to tell my mom that she told me, but Killer has been sick and went to the vet. They did x rays and blood tests nothing came up...they think just the flu.Should I still go to the concert tonight? If i go home and see Killer my mom will know my sister told me and she will get in trouble, my sister thought i had the right to know though. Or should i go to the concert and then go home tommorow like originally planned before i found out.??

It seems like your Mom has it under control. I'd go to the concert and go home tomorrow like planned. If the vet thinks it is just the flu, then he will probably be fine. Have fun, worry about Killer tomorrow.

By all means, go to the concert, but come home right after, rather than partying or going out or to your bf afterward.
It sounds like your mom is really great, taking responsibility for Killer and making sure you're not worried about your dog. I would like to also applaud your sister for letting you know. It sounds like you've got a great, supportive family, and that Killer is in good hands.

i think your dog's situation doesn't sound immediately life-threatening. there's probably nothing for you to do if you went home, but sit around with killer, since the vets think it's just the flu. i know how you're feeling though b/c my dog got really sick once and my mom didn't tell me right away b/c she didn't want me to worry, and she said there was nothing i could have done anyway.

If u really cared about Killer u should stay the flu is really not deadly but u can be concerned not making u worried but it is ur choice i would stay to take care of him if he was my dog
