This is a phenomenon known as Afrocentricity. The fleece created a static charge due to rubbing against your hair. The buds carried it into your ears.

The wire in your headphones served as a conductor and the electricity traveled up to your ear like electricity down a wire.
This is one of the unavoidable side effects of in-the-ear headphones...so next time take them off before removing the hoodie.
