According to Sky representative on radio this morning, all they want from Virgin is an extra 3p from every Virgin customer each day.
As a matter of interest 3p from every customer would be about £99,000 for one day.
So Sky want about £36,135,000 a year for Sky1, Sky2, and maybe the Sky news and Sky sport news.

I never watch sky 1, and only sometimes watch sky news and sky sports news. As long as they dont take off the sports channels and the movie channels Im not that bothered, well I am kinda, but not enough to cancel my subscription. But 3p a day over a year is too much for channels Im not bothered about.

Scum bags the lot of them!!! I want 24 back if not my contract will be cancelled simple as that. Virgin make enough money they should pay the extra to show they arn't the same as the money grabbing bastards at Sky. It will probably even itself out with thier profit if they pay the extra for us coz if we leave like quite a few people will they will lose alot. So Virgin sort yourself out and pay the extra for us and dont charge us!!! you will take the world over some day if you screw us we will screw you!!!

Remember that figure is not what they want for the channels. It's an increase over the already paid amount for the channels, I think. Sky can get stuffed, although Virgin better lower my bills (the on-demand stuff that I have already seen is NOT a replacement) or I'm getting freeview!

i think it shows how scared of virgin sky are and the channels are not worth a penny a week let alone 3 pence a day and sky needs to get a life i was just about to raise my subscription to have more movie channels but have decided they can shove that money somewhere other than the sky and the sun dont shine there

i have heard about this but Mr branson has basically said no chance! he don't believe that we should pay more money for a service that's already too expensive.

its great to know that Richard branson is standing up to them. maybe we might get a better service one day off virgin media!
