Seems to me a down and out family would get hit with a $200K gift, then they would have property taxes. Does Extreme Home Makeover bankrupt people?

Least they are in a position to do is pay the freakin taxes. they don't could undertaking approximately loan. They have been given is way less complicated than maximum suffering families who're paying loan AND taxes, and different families who won't be able to arise with the money for the two. sometimes i ask your self why provisions are so out of share.

Most of them can't afford the taxes but if they sell their 350k house they can pay off all their debt and build a perfectly nice house for cash and never have a mortgage to pay ever again.

with out a mortgage they could easily afford the taxes on their new 175k house.

I was wondering that myself.
I know that a guy here in Texas won a house on one of those giveaway's and his property taxes were like $250,000 because it was considered to be a gift. He had to sell it.
