The goaltending has been one of the main reasons that Buffalo is where they are in the standings.
They've won a huge amount of OT/shootout games. Those are often a sign that your goaltenders are performing well and stealing you points.

Downfall? He is one of the reasons the Sabres are going so well. As long as he stays healthy then they will continue to be an excellent team. With Biron gone I think the Sabres need him now more than ever. An injured Miller during the playoffs would end Buffalo's chances for the cup

No, although he seems to be good for one soft goal a game, which is way he rarely shuts anyone out. If he has a long term injury, the Sabres most likely would be toast this playoff season. Like any playoff team, if you hit a hot team that is just clicking, you could lose a playoff series. If Miller stays healthy, the Sabres have a better chance to go all the way than last year, because they are so deep. I mean they pounded the Leafs in Toronto without Briere, Druary, Max, and six other starters. They are good, scarey good.

Unless he gets injured then he wont be the downfall if they dont get to the finals, at this point it could be injuries to so many of the others that hurts their chances more than anything. Miller has an incredible history dating back to his college days of performing at the highest level and has won championships backstopping everywhere he has been. Obviously the Sabre management and coaching staff have a great deal of confidence in him, they are willing to go into the playoffs with Ty Conklin as his backup. Goalies with track records like his are extremely hard to find and there is nothing to indicate he wont elavate his game during a cup run either.

Well, as I've said before, I dont subscribe to the whole "Miller is God" theory, that most of the Bandwagon/girl Sabres fans believe. Some nights he's really good, some night he lets in 2-3 soft goals. I was pretty upset to see Biron go, he could have stuck around and walked in the summer, just as long as he was here for the playoffs. Oh well.

The guy makes me nervous; he's no Hasek, and that useless pile of goalie equipment the Sabres brought in from Columbus or whatever rock they dragged him out from under is no Martin Biron. if Miller gets into a funk or *God forbid* gets hurt, that's it. I love my Sabres and I believe they are capable of some amazing things, but it doesn't matter how good the rest of the team is if the goaltending isn't solid. I pray every night that Miller stays hale and hardy as long as the Sabres need him to!

I think he is a solid goalie but no great. As soon as the rest of the team heals they should do fine. Right now he is going to have to try to carry the team, He is playing with a minor league team right now with all the injuries. As far as the curse I try not to believe in one but I am a die hard Bills and Sabres fan and every time they have a shot something seems to happen.

Not a sabres fan here but I can tell you that the only way he could ever hurt the sabres is to get hurt. Great goalie right there. One of the best if u ask me.

Now I don't think that will be the case. On the other hand I think that he better be able to carry the team. He is the Goalie there and if he can't carry the load, and so far he seems to be doing ok at it, he will be the downfall.

Well I'd say yes only because they traded away Biron which means there's no turning back now if Ruff wants to make a quick switch and put Biron in the game instead.
