He sucks I disagreed with the 3 year contract they gave him last year! They should of just let him walk last year. The Ravens should of let him stay on Coke he was better when he was on the BLOW!!!

this was a great move by the ravens. lewis has been a bust the past few seasons and had all the upside in the world. this past year the ravens had a better back in mike anderson backing him up and did not use him the way he should have been used.

The getting rid of Lewis was more of a great deal monetarily than it was just him not being good. He was due a $5 mil bonus in March, so the Ravens wisely waived him to save salary cap room to sign/resign free agents such as Adalius Thomas (who they don't have the money for). Cutting Jamal should help with their offseason moves, but this leaves them fishing a small pond for RBs with a weak free agent and draft RB class.

He hasn't been the same since the prison sentence. It was better off for the Ravens!

They did waive him, which I think was a good move. He was beginning to get washed up, and this year's draft is full of talented backs.

But keep in mind, they do want to re-sign him.

IT WAS A SALARY CAP MOVE. HE MAY GO BACK FOR LESS MONEY.
