It would depend on lots of variables: Size, Speed, Range of the boat and if you go through the Panama canal or round the bottom of S. America.Or you go the other way around S.Africa and across the Pacific. Oh yeah and where you start in Scotland, East coast or West.
Exactly will depend on exact information.

And don't forget: Los Angeles is on the West coast of the USA so the trip would be through the panama canal (if allowed) or the long route via South Africa and the Pacific.
You'd also need to plan stops to take on more fuel.
What a strange question!

I don't think that a small or medium sized powered boat could carry enough fuel for the journey. I've heard of people sailing it in sail boats. Think in terms of weeks or maybe even months.

Don't they teach you lot anything at school these days?
I take it you are asking a hypothetical question?
Speed = Distance / Time
Therefore
Time = Distance / Speed
Good luck!
