I am my own person and can take care of myself quite well, thank you! What makes you think that men are superior to women in any capacity? I have been the financial provider in this household for about 20 years, I am not a "housewife", I did not marry the house. I am as responsible to him as he is to me, there is such a thing as mutual respect. If I want to go out. I do not have to ask his permission, nor does he ask mine. We are, however considerate enough to let the other know where we are going and how long we will be gone. This is not 1950. Most women can take care of themselves. Which is more than I can say for most men, many go straight from mama taking care of them to a wife (or gf) who continues to take care of them. Because they can't cook or clean up after themselves. And no, my husband is not a wuss, before we married he was taking care of himself and he is ex-military. We were both quite independent when we met. NO ONE "commands" me to do anything. In short my answer would be a resounding "NO" I would not "enjoy" subjecting to anyones "authority", and anyone who does (male or female) deserves to live in servitude, because they are obviously incapable of thinking for themselves.

Not like that, the only time i subject my self to my husbands authority is during sex. Yes he is my protector and does a damn good job of making me feel safe, but he is not going to tell me what to do and be my daddy.

Why do you ask stupid questions?
Having some stupid guy controlling me and telling me when I can go outside would not fill me with enjoyment, but then again I don't go outside to pick flowers for my hair. I don't know any guys that are that sextis to where they think that they hold the right control me.

Are you on something?
I will ask my husband's opinion on my actions when it pertains to our relationship or child..but damnit if I want to go pick flowers for my hair, I'm gonna go do it as I please.
When my son was born we were unmarried and he tried to control EVERYTHING we did, which was ludicrous considering he was not there for me one single day of my pregnancy. It got so crazy with his controlling that we ended up with a restraining order on him..that was his wake-up call. Since then he has sought counseling and come around 100 %..with hard work on both of our parts. Now we are married. We still have the occasional argument but he has not tried that crap again.
As for safety..yes I do feel safe with him physically. He's a tall dark handsome Arab and no one messes with him..or me when I'm with him.

No. I don't like subjecting myself to anyones authority. The idea that a man can control a woman is so old fashioned. Plus, none of the guys i know would go out of their way to protect me.

ok if my husband told me it was too late to go outside and pick flowers for my hair, I would quietly oblige, and cook him a nice dinner and pour him a glass of nice red wine then wait till he was sleeping and smother him with a pillow.

I know how you feel. My husband is very controlling, but that is why I chose him I think. Did you lose your father at a young age too? This has got to do with something Freudian, don't you think?

I wish my old lady listened to me like that. He's developing a bald spot in the back of her head.

Never felt that "joy"
If a man tries to control ME, we're through for good.
That's why I'm going to be a d r i f t e r when I'm older.
Marriage isn't for me.
