It was probably gas... the baby is still an embryo. I felt my first flutters w/ my first child at about 16 weeks. Now im 18 weeks w/ my 2nd and felt her at 13 weeks.

Sorry, but it's just gas. Even if you are a very petite person, the baby at 8 weeks is about the size of a kidney bean and barely moves at this point. Most women don't feel the baby move with their first pregnancy until about 16-18 weeks, but a few weeks earlier with second pregnancies and on.

8 weeks is a little early to feel the first signs of life but its good that you're learning to listen to and try to understand what your body is saying. Being pregnant has its difficult times but you are creating a new life and the wonder and joy of that possibility will over ride any of your difficulties. So the backaches etc. will lessen and before you realize it you will be feeling this new life. It is something you will know and cherish when the time comes. God bless both you and your new child.

Most likely it was just gas. Maybe you will feel it in about 8-10 more weeks.

I would say gas, the baby is way too tiny at 8 weeks for you to feel anything

At 8 weeks, you may really want to feel the baby, but it's unlikely that you have already. The baby is really not large or strong enough to kick when you can feel it. It won't be long before you definitely know you're feeling your baby. It's a wonderful thing!

Gas-- The earliest I've heard of someone feeling the baby kick is 14 weeks....and it was her 5th pregnancy, so she knew what it felt like.
In general, you'll feel the baby move between 16-24 weeks...depending on how thin you are and how much time you take to pay attention to it.
