regular salt will take out tea stains in a mug/cup and coffee its also the best for taking stains off your teeth,and conditioning your gums.

scouring it with baking soda will remove almost any stain. And it isn't toxic. Don't use bleach if you want to keep drinking from the mug. It may have minute cracks in the porcelain that will retain the bleach. You don't want to drink THAT.

Clorox bleach. I always use it to bleach stains from mugs and haven't had any problems with it. It's the best choice.
