Well the way i think to go it few opition.
Cardiff via London to Abu Dhabi
Cardiff via London via Doha or Qatar to Abu Dhabi
Or Cardiff via London via Amsterdam to Abu Dhabi
Or either to Paris to Abu Dhabi

If you are highest price that is a non-stop flight to Abu Dhabi from London.
If cheapest price try one or two stop over that can work and it will be the cheapest way.

if you want to go into Cardiff as opposed to London you would have to use KLM via Amsterdam
