search web for book publishing houses in UK, ask for "submission guidelines" if they have them

Well, writing the book would be a start.

Then editing.

Then contracting a graphics artist for the cover.

(And while you're doing all this, you should start advertising and promoting yourself as much as possible--within reason.)

But be aware: Getting in the door to traditional publishing (even in the UK), is a lot tougher these days than it looks.

I don't know the numbers for unsolicited ms's for new writers being openly accepted by publishers in GB, but here in the States, 80% of the mainstream now requires that you get an agent.

Yes i do.go to a website called lulu.com....they will publish your book for free and you can buy it from them at the price you set.then all the other copies they sell you get 80% of the proceeds! how good is this? I am going to do it too.

1. Go to the publishes and propose it to them. Send them synopses, 10 first pages and SASE.
2. Go to the agents who will present it to the publishers. Send synopses, 10 first pages and SASE to agents.
3. Self-publish.
