(1) The first book has a title something like 'The Face in the Pool' but that isn't the correct title. It starts out with a girl going to stay with her aunt in a small town and helping her run her hotel for the summer. It's a mystery and was published before 1989 and is for juveniles

(2) The second book has a title like 'See Jane Run' although I can't find the book I want under that title either.
It is about a young woman who takes a job for a wealthy man taking care of his daughter and then strange things start to happen...like she is being stalked and the dog even gets poisoned at one point. It was published before 1993 and was more of a book for adults

(3) The third book is for juveniles and is about two kids who discover what they believe to be a ghost town and then come across an odd couple who live in the empty town.
I read all of these about 20 years ago so that is all I remember. It is a long shot I know, but I REALLY need to find them if only for my own sanity!!

THANKS, dragonmom, (1) the first was 'the Haunted Pool'. I found it on eBay
(2) is not the 'See Jane Run' that kaligirl mentioned. It's not about a wife with amnesia, it's about a girl who goes to work taking care of a young girl and I could have the title wrong just as I did with the first one.

The 1st book is 'The Haunted Pool' by Phyllis Whitney. It came out in the 60's or 70's. I have a copy that was bought in 76 or 77.

The first book sounds like something by Christopher Pike. Try donig a search for him. There IS a book called "See Jane Run," a thriller about a woman who has amnesia or something, by Joy Fielding. Maybe it's out of print and that's why you can't find it. The third one doesn't ring a bell - sorry.
