you could always go with the obvious Notebook or Ladder 49 but personally the only movie i cried during was the Lion King. I think this has THE saddest scene in any movie ever! but why would you like to sob like a small child? Why dont you just watch the 40 year old virgin, turn that frown upside down and laugh your *** off.

Love Story. It will make you sob like a small child. By the way I hated that movie. Talk about coming home depressed.

The saddest movie I've seen..many many dear. Can't think of an example now but ok, let me try:

CROOKLYN... I sobbed. Sobbed and sobbed, Its by Spike Lee. Such movies touch me to bits, I love them. Even when they are so sad and touching.

I actually use this film as an acid test - if people do not cry they cannot be my friend - Whale Rider - It is excellent and when the girl makes her speech I am overwhelmed with big gulpy tears. It is magic. I have pasted a link for a bit of the film - not sure if it includes the speech though
