34 weeks and 3 days..baby dropped?

I am 34 weeks and 3 days pregnant...this is my first pregnancy...I have been getting vaginal cramps, cramps that feel like period cramps, I used to pee every 1 hour now its more like every 30-45 minutes...it feels like I always have to have a bm now. I think I have dropped...and I know this isn't all in my head because I was thinking that myself...and last week (so 33 weeks and 3 days) the girls in my childbirth class were all like "You look like you have dropped!" and I have had a few strangers tell me the same...example: "Are you sure you're only 34 weeks? it looks like you have dropped and your baby wants to see the world before April 8th!!". My doctor confirmed that at 32 weeks 3 days my daughter was head down. Today I have another appointment and I'm getting a vaginal exam. I have also heard that female babies develop faster...and to top if off I have heard that african-american babies develop faster...and I'm african-american....does it sound like I might have this baby soon?

Unfortunately, a baby dropping doesn't imply that you'll have the baby sooner than your due date. All it means is that the baby is getting ready for delivery (which, really, it prepares for delivery with Braxton Hicks all during pregnancy, etc.)

What it does mean is that you MAY have a quicker labor or go into labor a week or so early. If you went into labor now, they would give you medication to stop it. I think they do that until you're 37 weeks... So, hang in there.

Since it's your first pregnancy, I'd pay more attention to how early your cervix is ripe, if you dilate early, and if you're effaced. With a first pregnancy, those are better indicators of an early delivery.

you could do but your baby will come in its own time dont fret about it though you need to calm and relax alot coz soon you'll say what does relaxing mean good luck hope everynthing goes well
