Of all the players that came and went to different teams after last the 2006 WC, who do you think has been the best transfer?

Big clubs like Real Madrid, Chelsea, and InterMilan had splashed out millions, but have the returns been worth the investment at this point in the season? Sure InterMilan is walking away with the scudetto, but one would have to say that the SerieA is looking a bit water down this year; yet in the same sense Shevchenko and Ballack haven't insured the league title to Chelsea. And of course, Real Madrid...is still where they were last year, behind Barcelona.

I ask this question in the hope that someone out there can give me an insightful opinion on some of the better club managers out there. Personally, for the money that was spent, I think Arsenal and Liverpool did well to pick up the various players they did, but on the other hand neither team is doing "exceptionally" well domestically.

I think the best transfer so far is Kanoute to Sevilla. Small time

Yea!
Kanoute was a good transfer but not the best.

The best was for Middlesburrough (Jonathan Woodgate) from Real madrid, Daniel Agger and Dirk Kuyt(from PSV) for liverpool and Obafemi martins(for Newcastle from Inter) and nwanko kanu( for Portsmouth from West Brom)

there have been many good buys but i will list some that think is the best in their hierarchy

1 kanoute to sevilla, he has really helped them

2 obafemi to newcastle if he does not play well the team might be in trouble as he is their main frontman now

3 benni mccarthy to blackburn, what a talent from africa he just scored a beautiful goal against my team just now(ARSENAL) which knocked us out of the FA cup

4 berbatov has also been weighing in some goals as well.

but my buy of all time is thierryhenry from juventus to arsenal who has ow become the greatest player ever for arsenal and the premierships 3rd highest goalscorer ever just behind shearer and the no 8 for portsmouth.

Liverpool did purchase Fabio Borni from Roma for £11million he finished against Gomel interior the Europa qualifying first leg shall we see how he gets on? Liverpool have agreed phrases with Joe Allen from Swansea in spite of the undeniable fact that the swans have recommended Bredan Rogers he can no longer purchase any Swansea game enthusiasts till at last Janaury. If Liverpool loose Andy Carroll to Westham they pick for a tall participant for corners they have have been given £36million to spend they have been after Manuel Fernandez from Valencia and Gatian.

Tomas Rosicky (I'm not sure of what team he was previously at). Stunning goals in the World Cup 2006 for the Czech Republic and now at Arsenal with continuing brilliant performance and the best of him is yet to come!

Kanoute was a very good transfer. It took him time to settle at Sevilla but hes doing very well.

Another great transfer I think has been Zlatan Ibrahimovic of Inter. I hate Inter with a passion but he has made their attack very good after it had been a poor one for years. Likewise his leaving Juve hurt theirs a great deal.

i believe Martins to Newcastle, he has done well there and still has a long way to go, Owen will show him some tricks of the trade and Martins may give Owen something back to improve him. Woodgate was a great transfer for Middlesborough but who did Man UTD buy to help them along the way?

Definitley Obefemi Martins to Newcastle. They needed all the help they could get with all those injuries, and Martins basically became the team's Michael Owen.

Obafemi Martins to Newcastle United

he has saved their season, scoring crucial(and spectacular) goals

also Dimitar Berbatov to Tottenham

Ballack really hasnt produced as much as i thought he would, should have stayed at Bayern one more season so he could win the CL!
