IM 18, and i was offerd a job at a grave yard or memorial park. I immediately jumped on this oppurtunity because, grave yards make me feel calm and happy. Happy that, the fact im not dead and burried 6 feet deep. In other words it makes me happy to be alive and makes me think about, the people that are 6 feet deep and never took a chance, or was a affraid of taking risks in life and now they are dead. It motivates me to take every oppurtunity that comes to me, because i will soon join these people down under, and nothing will matter anymore you will be gone forever!!!!!!!!! but, im not taking this job just to humble myself, but because it pays 13 bucks an hour. Am i weirdo for thinking like this?

I find graveyards calming too, but not for Nyah-nyah feelings toward the dead. Enjoy it--just don't get hit by a bus on your way there...

I would like to point out in your statement refering to after you die that nothing will matter anymore. If you look at the world you will see a great amount of change. Much of this change is because people have tried to make things better for themselves and for others. Those people six feet under may have contributed to that change and efforts you make may also contribute.
If science is correct when they say energy can neither be created or destroyed. What happens to the energy that is you when you die?
I think your statement about grave yards make you feel happy is a great awareness that death is not to be feared.

I think that is awesome and a shame that alot of people don't think like you - i suppose that superstition gets in the way of alot of peoples thoughts and that working in a graveyard may make the ghosts of all these dead people run after you like in the movies - but i think you have a clear perspective on things - good for you

I've never felt like that but whatever works for you! Always look for the bright side of any job! & if it motivates you to make the most of your life & appreciate things then that's great!

It certainly would be a calm & quiet place.

Good luck!

Nope, you are not a weirdo. I like grave yards, too. I like to wander around and read the stones. It makes me feel connected with history.

I always say that I want a job that can afford me a life , not be my life. The way I see it, it might make you more appreciative of being alive. Don't forget to save some and to enjoy it.

No, you sound very reasonable. Do what makes you happy.
I like looking at gravestones and wonder what that person could have been like or what knowledge they took with them to the grave.

You have a gift for looking at things in the best possible light. Not weird. Not for just this, anyway. It is a good way to think about things, seize the day.
