I don't know if he was less corrupt back in the 1980s when he first acquired the WWF/E. I kinda think so, because there was no steroid scandal, Montreal Screwjob, or Stone Cold around. But I don't know.

P.S. (Don't give me an I don't care comment. If you don't want to answer me accordingly, then don't read my question.)

From what I remember he was a reporter then a little before his father died,as far as niceness goes kinda reminded you of how Micheal Cole is now,and I remember in the 90's a little before he had the Stone Cold feud he was a commentator with The King and seemed like an ok guy!But now a days..........

I'm beginning to think Vince is a triplet!Nice Vince is probably somewhere in WWE headquarters, handcuffed and hidden from the world,@$$hole Vince terrorizes the world and the third one?Well that's Satan!Who do you think is the REAL brains of the operation?

My parents bought the Wrestlemania collection and from the first few he was supposed to be on the good side arguing with Jesse the Body Ventura, and Bobby the Brian Heenan. But there was a time when the Ultimate Warrior was replaced by some one else, and Vince spread the rumor that the Ultimate Warrior was dead, but the truth was that Vince fired the Ultimate Warrior because he was asking for a pay raise and Vince wouldn't give him a raise. He was a commentator on the shows for a long time and he did not seem to be a jerk then. When Eric Bischoff was acting like a jerk in the WCW and Vince was losing the ranks on t.v., Vince became a jerk like Bischoff to see if he could take back the top ratings. Ever since then, Vince has been an absolute jackass.

Absolutely. He may have been looked at as a d-ck(for "stealing" the talent from countless regional federations), but he wasn't as bad. He was still "Vince McMahon Jr.", so he had to be personable to gain success. However, around now, if you ask anybody backstage, it's like he's become the Mr. McMahon character.

How can u call him corrupt, he owns wwe and how can he possibly cheat on himself and steriod use has been in all forms of sports but its just that since eddie G's passing wwe werent strict enough, do u know ecw wrestler Test has been released for his steriod use and several wrestlers have suspended due to drug use, regarding montreal screwjob i dont really know whats the real issue behind Mcmahon and Hart, i think hart being Mcmahon's employee should have been loyal to him and Austin will down as one of the greatest superstars of all time and regarding ur opinion about Vince, thats just ur opinion, i think we werent be a pro wrestling fan if it wasnt for vince and i highly respect him for giving us stars like hogan and so on

No, he was still a pretty big dick. I mean, even though there wasn't a steriod scandal, it doesn't mean it wasn't happening, along with other substance abuse problems. Also, it was during this time that he was buying up all the territorries, which would later end up putting pro wrestling (not sports entertainment) on the brink of extinction.

I wouldn't say that he's a d-ck now. But, from the examples you mentioned, I guess you could say yes.
