Go with Ron's advice, and add to it by keeping a copy of your letter to your boss. That way in the future if you get a reference from him you can show exactly how you left and it will lend credibility to you getting hired.

First you need to tell the new job that you can not start untill you have give notice at your old job. This is usually 1-2 weeks. Then you will write a letter of resignation to your current boss. This letter should thank them for allowing you to work there and the experiences you gained. It will also include why you are leaving, and the last day you will be working for them. Always be respectful, and you do not burn the bridges you have made. You may need these relationships at a later point in life.

You can find a JOB and quit your old one without giving notice..
Nothing require giving notice except the courtesy of giving them time to hire your replacement and train ect. This boss does not meet those notice requirements... You don't need a reference if you have a new job lined up.
Get job and simply state to boss you are moving on due to other commitments.

You do not have to say anything to your boss if you dont want to. All you have to do is hand in your two week notice to your boss or HR and that is it. Now if your close to your boss and have a good relationship you can def tell them first as a nice heads up instead of them finding out elsewhere.

You write a very nice resignation letter giving a full two weeks notice. You explain that while you have enjoyed your time a better opportunity has presented itself. Remember you are under no obligation to tell where you are going, just that you have accepted another position. And while you are working out your two weeks, if they let you.... work as if you aren't quitting. Nothing is worse then someone that is quitting being lazy their last two weeks.

You really don't need to explain anything. All you should do is set up a meeting with your boss, hand him or her your resignation letter stating that you are quitting, your last day is whenever and maybe one or two lines thanking them for the opportunity to work for them.

tell him in private, or as appropriate turn in your letter of resignation,
in either case, give the obligatory two-week notice. Continue being polite, courteous, and efficient on your job until you're done.
Whatever the bosses' response (short of physical violence)stay-the-course
and git er done.

No way you tell your contemporary boss your searching for a sparkling pastime. think of of it this way, they does no longer supply you a warning that they have got been going to hearth you, so why ought to you supply them a warning which you "ought to" bypass away. while you're an hourly worker they ought to pay you for all the hours you artwork. i'm extremely particular that it extremely is a call for for wellbeing care to be presented for finished time workers too. in case you may rfile/coach that they are no longer paying you for for all time you place it you should sue them in the experience that your fired. once you interview for a sparkling pastime, tell them to no longer call your contemporary company and tell them why. maximum potential employers won't call references till they are going to supply you the pastime.
