If you have a choice, cable.
I had cable before I left New Orleans, but had to get direct where I am at now.
While I can't complain, with cable, I got TV, high speed internet and cheap phone service.
With Direct, I get TV only. Needed to add a second Satillite for Internet and go bell south for phone.
It is much more expensive than cable packet.

would have said Direct TV a year ago, but feel that cable has finally pulled its head out from its behind and saw the seriuos threat Satellite TV was to their market share. In response I feel they have stepped up with better programming and added only minimal cost to provide it. A year ago I was getting fewer choices and paying more. Now it is more in balance. I prefer cable because you can usually get a price break on a TV and internet package that could also save you some $$$. Satillete may have same package but the internet will be much slower speed (at least for foreseeable future). All in all Direct TV is not bad but I like cable a little better, and no dish sitting on my roof somewhere.

CABLE...CABLE ...CABLE....i have direct TV and i HATE IT. i have always had cable before but moved to an area that only has direct TV.they say cable is coming and i cant wait....

Definitely cable...I guess Direct TV is okay until you want to cancel for any reason, then they become real nasty with you.
