when i type in my msn messenger conversation window with my second message my name does not come up

Have you tried removing the program and reloading it? sounds like it is just corrupted. because it is not a setting that you can change. Its a default feature in the program.

go to tools
go to options
go to messages
make sure the box "say contact says before each message" is ticked
and there you go tis fixed
