It's not a good idea. Your Civic was designed to be just as it was when it left the factory. The suspension, the brakes, the tires and everything else on the car was designed for the current engine.

Once you start messing with the engine and getting a bunch more horse power, you are going to need to start upgrading other stuff too just to keep it in line with all the new power you put on it.

The next thing that happens is you need to inform your insurance company what you have done. If you don't and have an accident, they may refuse to pay the claim because you have altered the vehicle in a way they will deem unacceptable.

Then when you come to sell the vehicle you will lose every penny you invested, along with greater depreciation than you would normally have because the next buyer is going to think you are boy racer who drove the car like a fool and messed up the original specs. You might be the safest driver ever who takes meticulous care of the vehicle, but they don't know that. They see a super charger and think that you must be an idiot.

So you are going to squander all kinds of money to do this project right, and you'd be better off saving up and buying a faster car. Unless you have crazy money to waste, you are never going to achieve what you are really looking for going down this road.

probably so but you never know. Civics usually have wide variety of performance parts but adding a supercharger means adding more stuff also you just can't bolt on a supercharger and be on your way, consider changing :intake manifold, fuel injectors reprogram ECU(computer), drive belts, exhaust. High horsepower Civics are a pure pleasure to drive and a tad bit scary if you're not careful. Good luck

I'm sure some motorhead figured it out. If Carroll Shelby found a way to stuff a 427 ci. into a AC Cobra, I'm sure you can find a way to put a turbo or a supercharger on a Honda

Sure. I'm sure they make one for it. I myself would have invested in something other than a 4 cylinder and then built it up.
