i'm on my period today but yesterday i had this brown discharge on my under wear ,do any of u girls know why ? have it happened to any of u girls?

the brown discharge is not the brown stuff that i get before my period ,i got that during the night (while i was asleep)on my panty liner.

It is perfectly normal. It was simply your period starting. It just started out really light and brownish. It is said that this brown discharge is old blood, but you may find you have this at the beginning or end or even in the middle of your period. Blood turns brown because of the iron in it being exposed to oxygen. Its harmless.

I get that too for the first day or two before I start.
It's just light spotting and signifies the start of your period. But if it happens a lot after your period is suppose to be over, you might want to see a doctor. Irregular spotting is not good. Doctor will probably put your on birthcontrol. It will help regulate your cycle.

Its perfectly normal. I guess it would be old blood from your last period. When it comes to your period, as long as the discharge doesnt look all retro colored there is nothing to worry about. Brown, black and red are perfectly normal colors.

that brown discharge can possibly be that u were spotting as an indication that your period was coming on. however, if u spot more frequently and for a longer time after your light periods then u shud consider seeing a doctor/gynecologist.

I wouldn't be alarmed. More than likely it's dried blood. Blood, red when fresh, is brown when it dries. It comes out as discharge because your period does not only consist of blood, but of the lining of your uterus.

This happens to me at the end of my period it's always happend and my paps are always fine so I know Im normal. My period starts heavy and ends light so maybe yours starts light. If you are real concerned see a gyno. They would be able to tell you.

brown discharge is normal, it simply means there was some 'older' blood, if it didnt have a particularly nasty or distinct odour, and you werent experiencing unusual pain then dont worry about it
