The future of white rappers/hiphop stars?

Do you think that because Eminem is as popular as he is amongst hiphop/rap followers and because he is the first caucasian rapper in the past several years to come along who is worth his salt skill wise, any future rapper who comes along who is caucasian will be deemed an 'eminem wannabe' and therefore not really get the career he wants for this reason or do you think people who like hiphop will view this individual on his own merit and rhyming skills and not dismiss them as a wannabe?

by the way i ask because i love rap too and i do actually freestyle and am thinking about putting some stuff out soon. I just want to gauge public opinion on what peoples view of another white rapper would be?

its titles like a wannabe that could end a career before its even started ya know?

Good question. I think that every other white "hip hop artist" will always have to face being compared to Eminem. (whether u like it or not, all u rappers wannabes). its becoz hip hop is a part of Black urban culture , so not a part of mainstream white culture (and pls note im not saying hip hop is not for everyone, yes, u love hip hop u listen to it, no problem). a white rapper is not common and will never be, so yes, everypone will be labeled an 'Eminem wannabe" . Several new white rappers will deal with that issue Until one day when the world sees another white hip hop artist who will come up with a unique style. then i dont think hell be called another eminem wannabe.

Not at all. Look at Paul Wall. Nobody is saying he is a wanna be cuz he is soooo different from Em. As long as your songs beats and style are not JUST like his you should be fine. I am not a rapper I'm a poetry major however i do have family in the music game. Personally I look for the words being said and not who is saying them. If you spit fire then you will be noticed and make good money as long as you continue to spit fire. When Em first started to freestyle at local spots he was dismissed as a fake azz V. Ice. So there will be haters any place you go but if you have the skills to back it up white black spanish asian whatever they will give you respect. Good luck to you. you must be american and so narrow minded.Eminem is succesfull because he's good.Theres lots of white rappers out there,in america theres Paul Wall,Bubba Sparkxxx etc. Then you have losers like kevin federline who make you cringe.theres black,and white wanabes you just need to be yourself and make sure you sound cutting edge and be yourself,its the only way to get noticed.

if you come with your own style, rhymes and fire it shouldnt matter to nobody. the only reason they labled eminem wannabies is cause white boys tend to copy eminems style, rhymes and that hold your nose talk funny style.
