You're trying to understand what??? Look back in history hun, black people have always been scorned, dont even think you're having real problems!!! Nowadays I know blacks are having more opportunities than before, way more, but racism will never be obliterated, even though blacks have always been the victims in history of racism , today I also know for sure that many black people despise whites or other races or ethnias, just as some whites might do.
But guess what??? Be happy, other people are suffering way more than blacks!!! At least in the US. Take me for example, I'm a Hispanic immigrant, perfectly legal, and I've found in my way many blacks that despise Latinos (even if they are legal) than whites, and whites who despise us even more than they do to blacks!!! No matter if you're white or black or brown, now everything is about your background, so there you see, racism everywhere and in any type!!!
PS: Just a little question?? How come your avatar is white?? Just curiosity, dont take it wrong.
And why is this question in this category???
Well, I answered this as a generalization among black women and men. I dont get the question if you mean black men have more trouble than women!! I dont get that.
Good luck
I'm glad you changed the avatar, you see? now you look better..

It sounds like a cop out anymore. I may not be black, but I've got a few other what would be considered "strikes against me" when it comes to equal opportunities in America. I've become fairly successful for my circumstances. It's mostly about applying one's self. I could have listened to my father and gave up trying to accomplish anything because I'm transsexual and bisexual and pagan and I struggle with depression and memory issues, but I didn't and I'm making something of myself. If a black dude has a chance at president anymore there's little excuse except for lack of willpower to not accomplish something.

You don't have any Black men around you? How could you not know the struggle of the Black man? I find your question hard to accept; so I had to address it. I'm not saying that things are better or worse than they were "back in the days", but Black men and women are still getting the booty end of the stick. KATRINA-----need I say more.

Are you asking about gay black men? Then why did you put this question in the LGBT issues area?

I think it's mainly because of racial profiling by the police of black men.
