bandwidth as in your internet connection is slow? If so, upgrade from telephone modem to dsl, from dsl to cable, from cable to fiber optic
if your computer itself is slow, add more RAM... if it's old, adding RAM can only do so much. Get a newer faster computer.

The first point to look would be the service plan you have- the bigger the number, the faster it is... Then once it gets into the house and out of your modem- the next bottle necks are the Firewall or router box, then off to a hub or switch, then to your computer through its network card...
The router or firewall box limits some- the cheaper/older ones have slower throughput ot are for single computers- newer ones will support several and work pretty well.
The hub or switch will limit throughput- 10/100 is better than just 10mbps and Gigabit ones (speed, not brand) are quicker yet- the larger the number the less restrictions.
Lastley, the way it enters the computer is the last point of restriction- again, 10 is lowerst, 10/100 is better, 10/100/1000 is best.
You can't just download software to make it faster, unless the software reconfigures your provider's settings in their coputer!

Bandwidth is the amount of data you can accept or send on your computer for a certain period of time.
Like for BroadBand internet it could be 1 to 5 Mb per second.
On a modem it might be 54 Kb per second.
On a network, most ethernet goes at 100 Mb per second if hard wired. However, if you have BroadBand, you are usually restricted to about 256 Kb per second when sending data.

I assume your using dial-up. There isn't a whole lot you can do about this as your bandwidth is severely limited.
Sorry bud

it fairly is called "Shotgunning" and extremely very very few isp's help it. except you reside interior the direction of nowhere, its especially much consistently extra fee-effective/swifter to pay for broadband than 2 landline telephone connections.

it doesn't come with your pc. bandwidth is supplied by your internet server. call them and upgrade your plan.

bandwith deals with your internet connection... the faster the internet connection the more bandwith you have. you need to upgrade your internet service for more bandwith.
