I know a lot of fairy tales, but they are not widely known to public.
What are the best known (except from "Three little pigs", "Sleeping
beauty", "Snow white", "Cinderella" and "Little Red Riding Hood")?

The Arabian Nights stories. The whole 'genie-in-a-bottle' story arc.
The Little Mermaid and Pinocchio is also pretty popular. Also Beauty and the Beast. Check out the Disney animated movies- they're mostly popular fairy tales.

Besides "Cinderella"? Oi, you can't get away from Cinderella. there's a "Cinderella"-type story in just about every culture. Budding amateur writers' first stories are often the so-called Mary Sue variety; in other words, Cinderella. But for others, I'm not a good one to ask, because I know and like a lot of little known stories myself. I see "The Wild Swans" a lot. Beauty and the Beast--and all other such Cupid/Psyche stories... H. C. Andersen stories pop up all over...

Hansel and Gretal
The Frog Prince (that's my favorite)

Or you could look at the actual tales when they were first written, which are much different than what we know about them today. Try googling The Brothers Grimm tales and see what you come up with.

Pick a disney movie... Anyone will do...

pick a Grim, they all count.

What do you mean, 'in modern mass culture'??? Like fairy tales we read and pass on during modern times? I think the greek myths might count.
