someone must have a theory. I think Harry will kill Snape because Snape killed Dumbledore. It's only a theory but it makes since.

I believe that Dumbledore isn't actually dead and it was Snape that died. I don't think Snape is actually evil because Dumbledore had so much faith in him. I think they used the Polyjuice Potion to switch places so that Dumbledore could get away and build a surprise attack.

I also think Sirius will also come back along with Harry's parents in some sort of spiritual sense (much like Goblet). Someone will also have to die but I doubt it will be Harry because of the younger readers. Maybe Ron or Hagrid! Lastly, I think that Malfoy will end up working with Harry, probably unwillingly, because of the way he reacted in the last book.

Here's an answer I wrote for a similar question a few weeks back:

In Book 7, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," it looks as though Harry is facing a decision as to whether or not to go back to Hogwarts. That is, of course, if the school opens following the death of Dumbledore.

Without a doubt, Harry will be searching for the remainder of Voldemort's Horcruxes and destroying them, so that Voldemort may be defeated once and for all.

I've read somewhere (Sorry, can't remember where) that JK Rowling intends to write an epilogue, detailing what happens to surviving characters. Let's not forget that Ms. Rowling has never made a promise as to whether or not Harry will survive book 7.

As for a familial relationship between Dumbledore and Harry, Ms. Rowling has cleared up this rumor on her website:

Rumor: "Professor Dumbledore is Harry's real grandfather/close relative of some description."

JKR's Answer: "If Dumbledore had been Harry's grandfather, why on earth would he have been sent to live with the Dursleys?"

Beware the Dark Arts =)

I think Hagrid will die. Not sure how. I just remember reading, after Half Blood Prince came out, that something signifying death turned from black to white to red...Sirius BLACK, Albus (meaning white) Dumbledore and Rubeud (meaning red) Hagrid suggests he's next. Also, he's the closest thing left to a parent (besides the Weasleys) that Harry has.

I think Snape will die somehow saving Harry - his secret role will be explained, and Dumbledore's trust in him will have been justified.

And Harry will kill Voldemort, and become Hogwart's lifelong teacher of Defense Against the Dark Arts.

I refuse to believe that Rowling is going to kill any of the three kids - Cedric Diggory was minor, and introduced only so he could be knocked off. And losing Sirius AND Dumbledore - his two only parental replacements - was a pretty cruel shock. I don't think, in what are still children's books, Rowling would kill off young characters. (I also don't see what purpose it would serve in the story - as an orphan who has to fend for himself, there are good reasons why Harry is perpetually robbed of his adult protectors.) Besides, she's put about half the Weasleys in serious mortal peril without killing any of them off yet.

i think that harry will no longer be going to hogwarts for school but will spend the entire last book hunting for voldemort. Also the mysteries surrounding snape will finally be cleared up. Seriously he is the most mysterious character in the entire series. Obviously Harry will in one form or another kill/permenantly incapacitate voldemort. I have heard rumors harry will die in the process of doing so but i hope that isn't true. Ginny and Harry will i hope get together in the end and almost for sure hermione and ron will-barring unexpected plot twists. Also the entire ministry of magic is going to get entirely revamped to get rid of the corrupt people who are currently running it.

i like Catherine b answer about snape and dumbledore that would be great.i am afraid that harry may have a horocrux in him or maybe he is one.i hope not cause he would have to die so that voldemort will die.maybe him Ronald and Hermione will set out to become aurors and hunt down voldie and his death eaters.if j.k Rowling is smart she will milk it into another book i don't want the series to end. i love harry potter and i am 35 go figure

Supposedly, Harry joins the Order of the Phoenix, and he, Ron and Hermione go out to seek out Voldemort and his death eaters to ultimately defeat him.
One of the three is supposed to (not sure if it's true yet) become headmaster of Hogwarts, and Harry and Hermione FINALLY hook up.
