I am trying to get a job. My former employers are claiming I never worked for them even with my entire name and SS#. 1 I had worked for them for nearly 4 1/2 years, the others for 3 to 4 months. My question is, how could they say I never worked for their company? Does after so many years they delete you?

Use payslips or anything you have with their letterhead as proof. Also, you might try contacting the tax office as if you were paid and paid tax on it then they'll have a record of this.

We're you paid "under the table", cash? Maybe its because they never paid any taxes on you and they are afraid of IRS implications. I've never heard of anyone being deleted from employee records after any amount of time. Strange.

I know that sometimes if you changed your name it can be a problem, or maybe they don't remember you off the top of their head and are too lazy to look it up....I am sorry...good luck
