I would suggest exercising 60 minutes a day 5-6 days a week, walking or bike riding is the best. Then you need to eat healthy, drink lots of water. Make sure most of your diet consists of vegetables and fruit, and you want whole grains not white...stay away from white bread, white rice, white pasta, etc. Choose lean meats like white (not dark) chicken and turkey, and fish. If you must have dairy products choose fat free ones. Stay away from anything that is processed, fried, artificial, and other empty calories. Also 80 lbs is too high of a goal for only 6 months. Start smaller, like try to lose 5 lbs in one month and go from there. Good luck!

Why are you under a time frame? That is a lot of weight to lose in not that long of a time. You need to start by walking and eating a low carb diet. It is safe to lose about 3 pounds a week. You may lose more at first because you have more to lose. Set smaller goals at first and work up to it. Good luck I hope you lose the weight so that you can have a baby.

Diet, and exercise, starting now, and stick to it, and no cheating. Walk every day for about 3 miles like I do. I can't help you because I am not there, and I know it will be hard at first, but you can lose that much weight in a short amount of time if you work at it and keep healthy. Time will go on and it will get easier everyday.Good luck!

You most certainly do not need to lose weight to get pregnant! This is a myth perpetuated by the masses! While there are studies that say that being a smaller size make for an easier birth, there are many people who become pregnant while being plus sized, and give birth to perfectly healthy babies! I am 10 weeks, and weigh 265. Good luck.

The unhealthyness of loosing weight that fast is not worth the risk to your body and system. I wouldn't be surprised if you had trouble conceiving after a diet like that.
Although it is not ideal to be overweight when you are pregnant, it is not the end of the world either. I am a large woman and I am pregnant with my second child. I was not able to loose the weight before either pregnancy, so I just did what they told me to do and I only gained about 20 lb.s with each eating healthy and drinking water, and walking. I never got complications, and my son is just great. Just my view.

Exercise, eat healthy and drink water!!
Take a look at what you eat. Cut back on high calorie food and replace it with fruit & vegs & lean meat. Watch portion size. Walk at whatever pace is comfortable for you for about an hour. You should be able to do about 3 miles in an hour. Don't push yourself just do what you can do. Something is better than nothing then slowly increase. You can also get a pedometer to help keep track of how much walking you do. Drink 8 glasses of water too.
1lb is equal to about 3500 calories so for every 3500 calories you cut in food or burn off in exercise you should lose a pound.

My dad just started this program called Nutrisystem...you have prolly seen the commercial where they mail the food to your house. So far he has lost 23 pounds...it is working great! I suggest that! BUT more importantly, you have to exercise. If nutrisystem isnt for you...just smaller portions, and healthier food. NO JUNK!

Join weight watchers for safe weightloss.
They have an on-line program if you can't go to meetings.
