If you are going to keep the rabbit indoors, you will need a cage to keep it in when you are not home. A good water bottle will keep it's water clean. You will need a feeder for it's pellets. If you are going to feed fresh fruit and vege's, you will need a bowl. (NO Lettuce! Lettuce is NOT good for any rabbit, even thought they will eat it!) If you get a baby rabbit, introduce new foods slowly, make sure it agree's with him before you give him more.
You should get a litter pan that fits in a corner, and kitty litter made of recycled newspaper (Yesterdays News, etc.)
Assorted toys, cardboard boxes, cardboard tubes, stuff to play with..... don't forget to "bunny-proof" whatever room the bunny can play in. Move wires and anything you don't want chewed or gnawed on...

They need: fresh water daily, timothy hay and lots of it to keep digestion normal, NEVER feed your rabbit commercial "gourmet" or "treat" mixes filled with dried fruit, nuts and seeds. Do feed good quality pellets (ox bow brand hay and pellets is recommended by Vets). Fresh greens like a spring mix salad but no spinich or iceberg. Fruits only as treats bc they are high in sugars.A rabbit is a lagomorph, not a rodent. His/her digestive tract is physiologically more similar to that of a horse than to any other animal. Lots of hay and high-fiber foods will keep your rabbit healthy for a long time.
