Okay, my two ex-friends andone of my other friends had a band.We were planning our first gig and everything was fine. We were call Osmium. We were going to play at this family day thing for some school. I played Electric guitar my friend was going to play Piano and my Ex-friends were playing guitar and drums. I don't think our drummer really knew how to play and neither did the other guitarist, but I was gonna help her. Now we are split up because the DRummer and other guitarist. I suggested a better name and we became Osmium. (our other name was stupid) All of the sudden the drummer told me that he and the other guitarist were joining this dumb tramp's band (she can't even play) because I was too "controlling" The guitarist is playin' all dumb saying " i never said that" just so she can take advantage of me. I don't know if they let things back to normal if I want to be a part of osmium should I or should I use my talent in a better band?

Yea, I'd move on. But that said, the guitarist and drummer owe you the courtesy of playing the family day gig because you as a group made a commitment to play this job. Musicians that walk off the job or prove wishie-washie, don't usually get hired back no matter how competent or incompetent they are. Good luck with the gig.

You know referring to people as dumb is probably not the best way to get them to see your side of things. I think that I'd worry more about how the band sounded than what name were were using.

And, by the way, if they got accepted into another band what makes you think they couldn't play their instruments?

Getting another drummer and a guitarist shouldn't be a problem even if they only play for the one gig.

If you are really talented, you should follow your heart, and play for the band you want to. It is really hard to get a break in the music indusry. My brother was part of a band, and they played several gigs, and even recorded a cd, but nothing ever came of it. I wish you luck in what you do, and hope that you can succeed where so many others fail.

Im not positive what your asking. But I say you and the piano player should stay a band and let the other two leave. Later you can add more members if you think its necessary.

I would use your tallent on better band. You don't want to get set back because of them. It will be better for you in the long run.

If you're really talented, you don't need them and it should be easy for you to get another band.
