I'm a lesbian and I don't hate men, but I do hate the men who treat women wrong. Now maybe they hate men because of their past like if they was raped or stalker somethings on that line. There is always a reason for a lesbian to dislike people to a certain existent. Now think if you had a friend who was straight and they was raped they wouldn't feel the same again with a man they would have a lot of trouble trusting sometimes she might even say she hated them for what they did. So you shouldn't change your mind about Lesbians and Gays everyone has a reason for disliking people.
Alright I'm not trying to be rude I'm just saying not every lesbian hates men. If you read my stuff right I'm saying some lesbians who say they "Hate men" probably is something to deal with their past. Like I said rape or other things will do that to you. Give me a thumbs down I really don't care, but that is normally why some Lesbians hate men. And like I said I'll say again I'll admit I dislike the ones who treat others with no respect, and finds it cool to rape or beat women. If I'm wrong for disliking them for that reason then more power to me.

You are soooooo totally wrong. I am a 42 yr. old straight woman and I have several gay friends and they are very sweet, I do work with a gay woman and at first she wasn't very nice to me then she changed and started talking to me about her life and now I consider her as a friend. Maybe it is the way that you act around people if you think or know that they are gay. I don't think that you were weird for asking the question she probably should have tried to explain to you why the second patient said that and no lesbians are not crazy and no the problem is not with gays or straight people. I am sorry that you have had this experience but I suggest that you look within for the answers as I have had good experiences with gay men and women. Good luck.

In any given group, you're going to find nutjobs and people who are more interested in expressing hatred than anything else.
This is as true of the gay community as any other.
Yes, there are some lesbians who hate men. I have a number of lesbian friends, and the topic of "Man haters" has come up now and then. Based on my conversations with these women, I'd say that lesbians who actively hate men are a small minority within the lesbian community. The most common response I've seen lesbians give on this topic is:
"Oh, I don't hate men. I just REALLY LOOOOVE women!" generally followed by an action expressing affection or lust towards their partner.
Don't judge an entire group by the actions or opinions of a few bad apples. You'll end up hating everyone.

Maybe you should find an office with straight people working in it.
How did you find a place where everyone is gay? Was there a big rainbow colored tooth on the door or something? Time to move along. Don't worry about the hang ups of others.
To answer your question, I know some very nice lesbians and they like me just fine.

I am gay and I can tell you I have no lesbian friends because of this. Here in the Midwest it seems like they all have a switch to women attitude because a man did them wrong vs. I was just always gay. Also they take the worst traits of a man who I would never be with and emulate that action including but not limited to fighting, starting fights, and all around general backstabbing on a monthly basis. Its like a bad man with PMS!

Well, first of all, I don't think it was impertinent that you insert their ethnicities. Seems a little racist to me, and I wish you could just describe them as women, versus blacks, whites, lesbians, etc.
But, have you considered your own interactions, how you treated them, how you came to find out their sexual orientation. You might have come off a little strongly, or made them uncomfortable. Consider whether or not this happened with anyone else, gay, straight, male, or female. Don't think about it too much, if you haven't let go of it at this point, then you're probably overestimating their suspicions of you.
I am gay, but I don't hate men. That's preposterous, I just can't imagine having sex with one.

I cannot answer for those who feel uncomfortable near adult males. Perhaps, though, they may have had an unfortunate experience with a man; this need not be confined to lesbians but can apply to all womanhood.
I do not hate all men. I respect and admire those in my family. Those I did hate were in my late partner's family for what they did to her. This hatred became self destructive and it was only after I learned to forgive them and myself that I began to recover.
This does not mean that I like the misinformed religious bigots.

Rejected by a man or men in their past, and in their strange ways, they search for an alternative form of affection with other lesbians. Lesbians spurn all men because they seek revenge against a world they think has cheated them and must set the world order as they should have had as real women. So, they feel their prerogative is to spend their lives punishing men.

I personally don't hate straight men, and I identify as a lesbian. I don't hate any men whether they are straight or gay. In fact, I have quite a few friends who are straight men. We have a lot of things in common; we frequently talk about our tastes in women. I think it is a stereotype to say that any group of people hates another. It simply isn't true.

You are talking bout two individuals in a sea of lesbians. Not really a good idea to base your entire opinion on such a small representation. You, like them, need to wise up a little.
