Start acting in plays and build a portfolio. Then move to LA once you're confident enough. Always keep in mind that becoming a famous actor is like winning the lottery... it's not all about talent.

umm just by the way that you phrased this question i know that youre in it for the fame/glamour and all of that. In otrder to truly be an actor/actress you have to have that passion for acting. If your anything like me you know what I am talking about. That feeling you get when you acting that just makes everyhthing seem soo naturel and complete. heres some advice: Dont go into acting. There are probabyly over 1000000000 people in this wurld exactly like you hopeing to become famous, get rich, and be a celebrity on the cover of people magazine but just think about it. how many of them actually make it ......... maybe 5 out of 100000000. so i hope this might help you change your mind that if you dont have that passion or gift.you shouldnt waste your money on trying to get into the buisness

start by getting real....start by wanting to be a good actor and not a famous one....and start by being more concious about the fact that how you say or ask something reveals almost too much about you...

Take a couple classes. Prepare yourself for harsh comments because you will get them. Start auditioning for minor roles then work yourself up the bigger roles. Someday you will make it! Don't ever loose hope!

IF U HAVE THE REFLEX TO BE AN ACTOR, THEN TRY PREPARING YOUR PORTFOLIO AND MAKE SURE THAT GOOD DIRECTORS SEE THAT... acting is a sense of natural behaviour, so be calm and carefull when u sign into a character.... good luck.
