We already tax cigarettes and alcohol. Why not McD's? Who's going to pay for all the medical bills for the fatties who have problems?

I totally agree. There is no way a Big Mac should cost less than $20 or so, a bottle of vodks should start at $100.

All these low prices on unhealthy products are government subsidies-- since poor people end up using so much public benefit to stay alive after using these products.

Why are you going to let them? When are you going to start standing up for your rights to eat what you want, to drink what you want, to smoke when you want, and to have the other laws enforced? It's time that we, the people, took charge of our lives and told the government to get the hell out of our private lives and get back to work enforcing the laws that are already on the books and getting our borders under control etc.

Don't worry, it's going to happen.

When we have full nationalized health care, then maybe the government will dictate your diet and exercise regimens. Won't that be great?

It looks like they're more intent on removing them from our choices of foods ie: the ban on transfats in NYC.

They have been trying to but now it looks like instead they will fine the parents that 'let their kids get overweight'
